Dean Limayem Will Be Presenting: Negotiating for Success
Moez Limayem
Dean of USF's Muma College of Business
Moez Limayem joined the USF Muma College of Business in 2012, coming from the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas. His main responsibilities have been to enhance the college’s profile, increase its resources, build program demand and strengthen relationships with alumni and business leaders and above all student success.
His accomplishments over the first seven years on the job include multiple multi-million dollar naming gifts that have totaled $72 million for the business college. A $25 million donation that was the single largest in USF’s history, came from Pam and Les Muma. In return, the college of business now bears their name. Limayem also has sparked a rise in national rankings, including the Vinik Sport & Entertainment Management Program being ranked No. 4 in the world by
SportBusiness International and the Center for Entrepreneurship’s No. 12 ranking this year by the
U.S. News and World Report. The Florida Board of Governors recently named the Muma College of Business No. 1 in the percentage of graduates across the state who land jobs right after graduation with salaries of more than $40,000.
The recipient of numerous professional awards, including a Fulbright administrative award, the USF World Global Achievement Award and the USF Diversity Award, Limayem has published dozens of articles, many of which focus on the intersection of technology with the consumer, academic and business worlds. He is also the coauthor of a scholarly book, “Understanding The Use of Technology-Based Self Service: The Consumers’ Point of View.”
