Florida State Fairgrounds: A regional resource for facilities and events throughout the year
You may think of cotton candy, corn dogs, animals and rides, but the Florida State Fairgrounds is so much more. Each year the Fairgrounds hosts more than 150 events, large and small. This does not include the educational programming in the Cracker Country Living History Museum and Agricultural areas.
Terri Parnell Longphee has been with the Florida State Fair Authority for seven years and is currently the Director of Sales managing the booking of 100+ events, commercial vendors in the Expo Hall during the State Fair and the annual golf tournament benefitting the Foundation and its year round educational programming. She also represents the Fair Authority as the spokesperson.
Prior to the Fair Authority, Terri worked at Visit Tampa Bay as a Project Manager where she developed and implemented Tampa Bay?s original bid to host the Republican National Convention. She then became the National Sports Manager where she strategically targeted and solicited sports organizations to consider Tampa Bay as an event location. Her background working the Salt Lake Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, Sydney Olympic Games and Atlanta Olympic and Paralympic Games was a valuable asset for her future positions.
She volunteers with Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful, Junior League of Tampa and Chi Omega Alumnae of Tampa Bay. She earned her degree from the University of Florida in Marketing and was born in Tarpon Springs, Florida.
